Why would you recommend exploring careers in science and technology to other Latina girls?
It is a global necessity for humanity to have more Girls involved in Science and Technology. Women need to participate in STEM to make sure our experiences are included in the design of technology to solve real problems faced not only by boys, but by girls too. We need to decrease gender gaps in the field and make technology accessible. We need to break down stereotypes, and create diversity both in gender and background to catalyze creativity and productivity. I believe that understanding Technology and Science opens an infinite number of possibilities to change the world and positively impact the lives of others . Once you learn how everything connects through science and technology you can solve any problem, you can use your creativity to innovate today’s reality. Who wouldn’t like to be part of that. I guess what happens is that Latina Girls don’t realize their potential. Today latina girls face unique and diversed challenges that can be easily overcome if we have more girls working together to solve them. When you understand Tech, the sky is the limit, learning science and tech doesn’t hold you back. You can do politics, fashion, music, art, health, you can actually do anything and add tech to it. To sum it up, What would you do if you weren’t afraid?
