Marisol is a Computer Scientist and leads a team of software developers as an Associate Division Leader for the Global Security Computing Applications Division at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. She has worked at the Laboratory since 2002. Her background and extensive software engineering experience has led her to reach a position where she provides oversight and technical leadership for a team of software experts responsible for developing tools that help Department of Defense personnel distill, combine, relate, manipulate and access massive amounts of data in a timely manner. In addition to this role, Marisol also serves as the Principal Investigator for multiple projects, focusing on furthering technology by exploring techniques and methodologies that have not been proven.
