Bio
I am currently a continuous process improvement specialist at Johnson & Johnson. My work focuses on serving the supply chain technology community to understand and identify waste within their process. After analyzing the current state of their process, i facilitate workshops to find the root cause of the problem and brainstorm a plan to resolve. I serve as a change management agent to help teams adapt to the new improved process and prevent going back to old wasteful ways.

Why would you recommend exploring careers in science and technology to other Latina girls?
Careers in STEM open many opportunities in the fast developing world. Careers in STEM teach you how to look at the world and solve problems a different way. By having a STEM background, one has no limitation on what they can create! Growing up in Paterson, NJ after moving from Peru made me feel not capable of pursuing a career because i was overwhelmed by not knowing the language. As i reflect back on my transformation throughout the years, i am thankful to my family and STEM mentors who exposed me to a field i never thought i would be capable of pursuing.
