TECHNOLOchicas Offerings

Middle School Programs for Latina Girls

Empowering girls with a STEM education is one of the keys to closing the education and economic gaps that are all too prevalent in our communities. Through the LIFT program, we equip girls with the technological skills they need for success in 21st century careers.

In partnership with the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) and other local organizations throughout the country, we offer Latina middle school girls STEM programs.

NCWIT AspireIT connects high school and college women with K-12 girls interested in computing. Using a near-peer model, program Leaders teach younger girls fundamentals in programming and computational thinking - in fun, creative environments.

By offering direct programming through near-peer mentorship, AspireIT can create new opportunities and welcoming spaces for girls and young women to expand their interest in computing and technology.

Tech Parties

TECHNOLOchicas one day events are offered in partnership with companies that wish to open their doors to Latina girls to foster curiosity and engagement with technology encouraging them to explore opportunities for which they can apply a knowledge of code and technology.

The objective of the Tech Parties is to increase girls’ curiosity and imagination with exercises and team work. These events encourage them to explore opportunities to apply their knowledge of code and technology.
