Global Head of News & Publishing, Google Play Apps BD
I currently oversee strategy and partner relationships for the most strategic publishers with mobile applications for Google Play. Mobile applications are an important platform for discovery and engagement of news content. The business development team at Google Play works with partners like The New York Times to help them develop best in class apps that can be featured and promoted in the Play store in order to drive awareness and installs with new and loyal users. I also work on virtual reality integrations and helping publishers integrate with Google's solutions in this new medium.
My work is focused around strengthening partnerships, executing on contracted deals, informing our partners on new Early Access Programs as well as education of best practices in order to lead to optimal app success.
Why would you recommend exploring careers in science and technology to other Latina girls?
I would recommend exploring careers in Science and Technology because this is a high area of growth and therefore opportunity for success. Technology is a core driver to all things that are being innovated today, so it would be great to have the female Latina represented as solutions like self driving cars and other exploratory technologies are being built.
Latina girls have the power to influence how things get built for the generations to come of which they will play a huge role.
