Lolita Taub is an IE Business School class of 2017 MBA candidate. At IE, Lolita is pursuing her goals to earn a seat at the tech Fortune 1000 C-Suite table and to promote diversity-inclusion in the corporate world. IE Business School is one of the world’s leading higher education institutions, and is located in Madrid, Spain.
Lolita has built a career in the technology industry by identifying and providing solutions to develop the businesses of her enterprise clients. She has spent most of her career as a Sales Account Executive for both IBM and Cisco, selling their complete portfolios of hardware, software, and services. Lolita has sold solutions involving Data Analytics, Cloud, Mobile, Social, Security, and the Internet of Things for her customers. In addition to her corporate sales experience, Lolita has also worked as a consultant for IBM serving the public sector and as the VP of Sales for a Silicon Valley diversity & inclusion software startup.
Why would you recommend exploring careers in science and technology to other Latina girls?
Currently, only 25% of the tech industry is made up of women. Out of that, only 1% are Latinas. That has to change. It is our time to shine and change the status quo.
